The natural systems of Cape Cod are centered around water. The water bodies themselves, life in and around those water bodies, and the habitats that depend on surface and groundwater are all interconnected. The Cape Cod Commission supports the region-wide goal to protect and restore Cape Cod's marine-, fresh-, and ground-water resources by providing technical assistance and water resources planning to towns and organizations throughout Cape Cod; reviewing developments of regional impact and water resource management plans; and collaborating with federal, state, regional, and local agencies and organizations to better understand the status of our water resources and coordinate protection and restoration activities
