Prepared for Barnstable County by CTC Technologies and Energy and Rural Innovation Solutions, Inc., and the Cape Cod Commission, the Regional Broadband Needs Assessment and Summary presents key findings and provides actionable recommendations to improve the region's broadband landscape and address digital equity challenges.

A diverse group of public and private digital inclusion practitioners convened for meaningful discussions toward enhancing digital equity across Cape Cod. The Cape Cod Commission and Massachusetts Broadband Institute brought these stakeholders together at Cape Cod Regional Technical High School on May 16 for an afternoon workshop to discuss challenges and brainstorm solutions to bridging the region's digital divide.

The Cape Cod Commission and Town of Sandwich have released the Draft Town of Sandwich Municipal Digital Equity Plan for a 30-day public review and comment period through May 20, 2024.

The Cape Cod Commission is leading efforts to improve internet availability, accessibility, and affordability on Cape Cod, through an assessment of the region’s existing network and by providing municipal digital equity services.  

The Cape Cod Commission and the Town of Bourne have released the Draft Town of Bourne Municipal Digital Equity Plan for a 21-day public review and comment period.

Public and non-profit housing providers invited to submit letters of interest  In-home broadband access is a key component of digital equity.

The Town of Bourne is working to become a more digitally inclusive community. Interested citizens gathered in person and virtually on November 13th for a digital equity workshop in Bourne, a component of the town’s process to develop a digital equity plan.
