5. Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (“BUILD”) Grant Support Letters: Staff will provide an overview of two potential BUILD grant applications that are being developed for the Route 28 Corridor Improvement project in Yarmouth and the Route 6 Corridor Improvement project in Eastham. Committee members will discuss and may vote to submit a letter of support for each grant application.
6. Eastham-Orleans Route 6 Rotary Improvement Project: Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) staff and their consultant Fuss & O’Neill, will present on the Eastham-Orleans Route 6 Rotary Improvement project that is currently under preliminary design. Committee members will provide feedback on the project including the proposed public outreach strategy.
7. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1– September 30) 2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Development: As part of the development of the 2027-2031 TIP, staff will present an overview of the transportation projects that are currently programmed on the 2026-2030 TIP, and an overview of projects that are eligible to be programmed onto the 2027-2031 TIP. The TIP summarizes the regionally significant transportation infrastructure projects receiving federal funding for construction over the next five fiscal years.
8. Federal Fiscal Year (October 1 – September 30) 2027 Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”) Development: Staffwill provide an overview of the development of the 2027 UPWP which summarizes all significant transportation planning activities for fiscal year 2027 on Cape Cod. Committee members may ask questions and suggest potential tasks and studies for inclusion in the 2027 UPWP.
9. Reports: MassDOT staff will review the status of Transportation Improvement Program projects that are under construction or planned in the next five years. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority staff will report on the status of current and future projects and initiatives to improve public transportation services on Cape Cod. Cape Cod Commission staff will report on upcoming public meetings and available state and federal grants.
10. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
