  5. Promoting Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-saving Transportation Program (“PROTECT”) Grant: Staff will provide an update on two potential federal PROTECT grants for the Cape Cod region that would be submitted by the Cape Cod Commission for planning and design for vulnerable municipal and state-owned roadway segments throughout the region. Committee members will discuss and may vote whether to submit a letter of support for the application.
  6. Federal Fiscal Year (October 1 – September 30) 2026 Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”) Development: Staffwill provide an update on the development of the 2026 UPWP, a program which summarizes all significant transportation activities planned for the fiscal year on Cape Cod. Members may ask questions and suggest potential tasks and studies for inclusion in the 2026 UPWP.
  7. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1– September 30) 2026-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Development: Staff will review draft TIP project evaluation scoring and lead a discussion on the status and readiness of current and future TIP-eligible projects. Committee members may ask questions and provide feedback on project evaluation. The TIP summarizes the regionally significant transportation infrastructure projects receiving federal funding for construction over the next five years.
  8. Calendar Year 2025 Safety Performance Measure Targets​: Staff will describe the statewide MassDOT safety performance targets related to the maximum number and rate of potential motorist and non-motorists of fatal and serious injury crashes on Cape Cod for calendar year 2025.
  9. Cape Cod Vision Zero Safety Action Plan: Staff will provide an update on the development of the Vision Zero Safety Action Plan, a comprehensive safety action plan to reduce and eliminate serious-injury and fatal motor vehicle crashes affecting all roadway users on Cape Cod.
  10. Reports: Massachusetts Department of Transportation staff will discuss the status of the Transportation Improvement Program projects. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  11. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
