Note: The meeting will be held virtually, with members of the Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee participating remotely, pursuant to Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021, An Act Relative to Extending Certain Covid-19 Measures Adopted During the State of Emergency.

  4. Public Comment
  5. 2024 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) Development: Cape Cod Commission staff (staff) will present an overview of the current (2020) RTP and an outline of the development process for the 2024 RTP. Committee members may discuss the 2024 RTP development.
  6. Safe Streets and Roads For All (SS4A) Grant Program: Staff will update the Committee on an effort to submit a Regional Safety Action Plan grant application as part of the US Department of Transportation SS4A program.
  7. State Bike Route 1 Bicycle Wayfinding Signage Project: Staff will provide an overview of an upcoming Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) State Bike Route 1 wayfinding signage project that will update the wayfinding signage along the Claire Saltonstall Bikeway from Bourne to Provincetown.
  8. Summer Traffic Counting Update: Staff will give a summary of the 2022 summer traffic counting program for Cape Cod, a program that collects traffic data such as volumes, speeds and vehicle classification on various roadways throughout on Cape Cod.
  9. Reports: MassDOT staff will discuss the status of the Transportation Improvement Program projects. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  10. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
