5. Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee Bicycle Representative Alternate: Committee members will discuss and potentially vote to either renew the current appointments or to seek new nominees for the Bicycle Representative and Bicycle Representative Alternate to the Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee for the term July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
6. Federal Fiscal Year (October 1– September 30) 2023 Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”) Development: Staff will describe the process for developing the 2023 UPWP. Joint Transportation Committee (JTC) members may ask questions and vote to make a recommendation to the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) on potential tasks and studies presented by staff for inclusion in the 2023 UPWP.
7. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 – September 30) 2022-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Amendment #2: Staff will describe, and the committee members may vote to recommend the Cape Cod MPO release for public comment, draft Amendment #2 to the TIP which would increase the funding amount for the intersection improvement project in Orleans at Route 28, Route 39, and Quanset Road to match the increased project cost estimate of $5,798,657 and update the project name for the Mashpee Route 151 Phase 1 project to reflect current project limits.
8. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1– September 30) 2023-2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Development: Staff will review the process for developing the 2023-2027 TIP. Committee members may ask staff questions and vote to make a recommendation to the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization on potential projects for inclusion in the 2023-2027 TIP.
9. Speed Studies and Data Collection Efforts: Staff will provide an overview of speed related data collection efforts for speed studies on roadways on Cape Cod and members can learn more about the various methods for future requests.
10. MassDOT Grants: Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee members will discuss their experiences with the participation in and administration of MassDOT (Massachusetts Department of Transportation) grant programs, such as Complete Streets, Shared Streets and Spaces and MassTrails.
11. Reports: Massachusetts Department of Transportation staff will discuss the status of the Transportation Improvement Program projects. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
12. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
