Regional Transportation Plan Public Meetings June 3 & 5

Planning for the Future Transportation Needs of Cape Cod

The Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is preparing the 2020 update to the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). A series of public meetings is scheduled for the first week of June 2019, which will build on public input gathered earlier this year through listening sessions, an online survey, and other outreach events.

The RTP is the long-range plan that sets the vision for the region’s transportation system through 2040 and beyond.

This round of engagement will gather feedback to prioritize $1.1 billion in funding expected over the next 21 years. The meeting will include discussion of the recently-released Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Cape Cod Canal Transportation Study draft report. A preliminary draft 2020 RTP and a link to the MassDOT draft report can be found at:

Public meetings will be held at the following locations at the times listed:

  • PROVINCETOWN: Veterans’ Memorial Community Center (2 Mayflower Street) – Monday, June 3, 2019, 5 p.m.
