OneCape Award 2019: Honoring Alan McClennen

The OneCape Award is given annually for outstanding leadership and dedication to water quality on Cape Cod.

This year, the award was presented to former Orleans Selectman Alan McClennen for his tireless efforts to improve water quality and work towards wastewater solutions both in the Town of Orleans and across Cape Cod.

As a member of the Orleans Board of Selectmen, Alan implemented regular meetings focused on wastewater planning, and under his leadership the Board was able to secure funding for a multi-million-dollar downtown sewer and treatment plant. His work with the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce’s Wastewater Task Force helped to establish the Cape Cod and Island Protection Fund.

Alan McClennen is the recipient of the 2019 OneCape Awards.
