A “complete street” provides accommodations for all users, including motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, and persons with disabilities. The presentation will include an overview of the Complete Streets Program and a draft priority listing of potential Complete Streets projects.

Potential projects include new sidewalk construction, intersection improvements, and enhanced bicycling infrastructure. The focus of the meeting will be to gather public feedback on the priority ranking. The town will then refine that ranking for submittal to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).

Guided by the input from public meetings and in conjunction with the Town of Bourne, Cape Cod Commission staff will prepare a final report and the Complete Streets Prioritization Plan. The prioritization plan will be submitted to MassDOT as part of the town’s ongoing participation in their Complete Streets Program. Approved projects are eligible for up to $400,000 in construction funding from MassDOT.
