New Commission members
The Cape Cod Commission welcomed three new members this year.
In April, Provincetown Planning Board Chairman Mark Weinress was appointed as the town’s member to the Cape Cod Commission through April 2016. He was appointed to the unexpired term of former member Austin Knight, who stepped down earlier in the year.
Charles McCaffery of Falmouth was appointed to a three-year term in May. He has a degree in urban planning from the University of Illinois and has served as chairman of Falmouth’s coastal pond management committee.
The Commission’s newest member is Richard Conron of Bourne. He was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Michael Blanton, who was elected to the Bourne Board of Selectmen in May. Conron brings his experience on Bourne’s Community Preservation Committee, Open Space Committee, Zoning Board of Appeals and the Capital Outlay Committee to the Commission.
