Commission receives Excellence in Commuter Options (ECO) Award
The Cape Cod Commission was recognized by the Baker/Polito administration with an Excellence in Commuter Options (ECO) Award in recognition for its efforts to promote smart, sustainable transportation choices to reduce traffic congestions, improve air quality and support local and strong economies.
“We are proud to join our transportation colleagues in recognizing the innovative alternatives these businesses and institutions are offering for commuters across Massachusetts to reduce emissions and improve overall air quality,” said Governor Charlie Baker. “Massachusetts is committed to decreasing emissions within our transportation sector and these employers are helping the Commonwealth to meet this goal.”
The award ceremony was held on April 18, 2018 at historic Fenway Park. Organizations recognized have been successful in administering program and resources to encourage travel by public transit, carpools, cycling and walking. The Commission has earned this recognition in 10 of the last 11 years.
