Citizens encouraged to attend Cape Cod Vision Zero Action Plan public meetings
The Cape Cod Commission invites the public to attend a Cape Cod Vision Zero Action Plan public meeting to learn more about efforts to eliminate fatalities and serious injury crashes on Cape Cod's roadways. The meetings will provide an overview of the region’s High Injury and High Risk roadway and intersection network and a draft list of potential countermeasures, projects and strategies to reduce serious injury and fatal crashes in our region. Attendees will have an opportunity to provide feedback on potential solutions in their communities as we prepare the Action Plan document later this spring.

Vision Zero is an effort to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries on Cape Cod’s roadways. The Cape Cod Vision Zero Action Plan, a pathway to a safer future, includes a systematic crash analysis and set of solutions to tackle the region’s most serious and fatal crashes, emphasizing those involving bicyclists, pedestrians, and other non-motorists. The Action Plan includes a series of low- to high-cost regional strategies and actions at the region’s most problematic locations.
The Cape Cod Vision Zero Safety Action Plan is funded by the Federal Highway Administration through the Safe Streets for All discretionary grant program.
