Cape Cod 2016 Regional Transportation Plan Update meeting schedule

TAKE THE SURVEY, ATTEND A PUBLIC MEETING, LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD

What’s your vision for Cape Cod? A third highway bridge over the Canal? Replacement of the existing Canal bridges? More sidewalks? More multi-use paths? Increased bus service? Improved pavement condition? Safer roadways?

The Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) sets the long-range vision for the transportation system on Cape Cod. It is the primary means for allocation of federal and state funds for the Cape’s transportation needs. The Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), a collaboration of local, regional, state, and federal transportation officials, is in the process of updating the RTP and is seeking public input.

Cape Cod Commission staff will prepare the document and solicit public input. It is anticipated that the draft document will be released by the MPO at its May 11, 2015 meeting for a 30-day public comment period. Prior to the May 11 release there are many avenues to have your voice heard and help to shape the document:
