Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual Cape Coastal Conference, scheduled for June 5 and 6 at Cape Cod Community College from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days.
This year’s conference, State of the Cape: Implementing Strategies to Improve Water Quality & Build Coastal Resilience, was again organized by the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
The Cape Cod Commission is a planning partner for the event. Commission Deputy Director Kristy Senatori, Chief Regulatory Officer Jon Idman and Special Projects Coordinator Erin Perry are scheduled to present. Scott Horsley, a consultant to the Commission on the Section 208 Water Quality Plan Update, is also scheduled to make a presentation.
In conjunction with the conference, the Association to Preserve Cape Cod (APCC) will host the 2nd Cape Environmental Summit. The Summit will be an opportunity for the nonprofit environmental organizations on Cape Cod to discuss how they can collaborate to improve strategies for data collection and sharing.
