Cape Cod Commission staff members have expertise in a range of design-related disciplines including site design, architecture, landscape architecture, and graphic design. The staff provides design assistance in a number of ways including:
- assistance to towns with the preparation of design standards
- landscape and streetscape plans
- wayfinding design
- informational materials
- 3D visualizations of conceptual development plans
Staff is available to prepare visualizations of proposed development, streetscapes, and potential zoning changes to communicate project alternatives and help towns and community members better envision and understand design-related issues. These visualizations can range from simple sketches of concepts allowing greater ambiguity and interpretation, to more realistic photo-simulations and 3D models. Visualizations and graphics can help engage stakeholders and make technical or complex ideas easier to understand.
