Bike Rack Program
The purpose of the Cape Cod Commission Bike Rack Program is to provide Barnstable County’s fifteen municipalities and other governmental agencies with the opportunity to install modern bicycle parking infrastructure on public property within the region at a reduced cost.
The Cape Cod Commission Bike Rack Program provides full reimbursement to municipalities of the cost of purchasing bicycle racks and associated equipment (i.e repair stations, shelters), excluding shipping and installation costs. Installation and shipping costs are borne by the eligible applicants as part of the local match funding mechanism. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will provide program funding through the Cape Cod Commission.
The Bike Rack Program is currently closed at this time.
