Agenda

1. Welcome and Introductions
2. Regional Housing Needs Assessment: Cape Cod Commission staff will provide an overview of the findings from the Cape Cod Housing Needs Assessment, completed by the Donahue Institute at UMass Amherst.
3. Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach: Cape Cod Commission staff will provide an update on the stakeholder engagement process for the Cape Cod Regional Housing Strategy, which will articulate policies, actions, and recommendations to address regional housing challenges, including initial results from the housing preference survey.
4. Funding and Financing Strategies to Address Defined Housing Challenges: Cape Cod Commission staff will provide an overview of funding and financing strategies to address housing challenges that have been utilized locally and nationally and seek feedback on strategies that are appropriate for Cape Cod.
5. Permitting Pathways: Cape Cod Commission staff will share an overview of the permitting pathways analysis being conducted to better understand the existing ways to permit housing development and redevelopment on Cape Cod and the barriers or challenges to permitting housing on Cape Cod.
6. Next Steps: Commission staff will discuss next steps for the committee, including meeting dates and future agenda items.
