Complete Count Committee

The 2020 U.S. Census is just over 4 months away, and we need to step up our outreach and organizing to ensure that EVERY Massachusetts resident is counted--especially our undercounted communities. More than $16 billion in federal funding to our Commonwealth is based on Census data, as is our political representation, so we can't afford to miss tens of thousands of people, as we did in 2010.

Cape Cod's geography and large seasonal population put it at a particularly high risk of an undercount. It also has many residents who have historically been undercounted all across Massachusetts, such as immigrants, people experiencing homelessness, low-income families, people in group housing, renters, young adults, and people with disabilities. That's why your leadership is so crucial.

On Nov. 13, the Statewide Complete Count Committee is holding a Census awareness event with Secretary of State William Galvin at 2:00pm at Barnstable Town Hall (2nd Floor Hearing Room, 367 Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601) followed by a "Train the Trainers" workshop from 2:30pm to 4:30pm for community leaders, organizational staff and volunteers working on Census outreach. Participants will:

Sign up today! We look forward to sharing ideas and laying the groundwork for a strong mobilization on the Cape.
