  5. Sub-regional Representative Election: The Cape Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)will hold a vote of all selectmen in attendance and tally any absentee ballots submitted to elect the sub-regional representatives to the MPO for the term of January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026. The slate of candidates is as follows: Mary Jane Mastrangelo and Edwin P. Zylinski, sub-region A (Towns of Bourne, Falmouth, Mashpee and Sandwich), James Plath and Peter Q. Smith, sub-region B (Towns of Yarmouth, and Dennis), Kevin Galligan, sub-region C (Towns of Brewster, Harwich, Chatham, and Orleans), and Art Autorino, sub-region D (Towns of Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown).
  6. Cape Cod Canal Bridges Program: Staff will provide an update on the status of the Cape Cod Canal Bridges Program, a program that will include the eventual replacement of the Bourne and Sagamore bridges, as well as improvements to the approach roadway networks.
  7. Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Evaluation Criteria: Staff will describe, and the Metropolitan Planning Organization may vote to adopt, revised Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) evaluation criteria based for the selection of TIP projects beginning with the Federal Fiscal Year 2025-2029 TIP.
  8. Non-motorist Data Collection Efforts: Staff will review data obtained from pedestrian and bicycle counts performed across Cape Cod over the last year.
  9. Reports: Massachusetts Department of Transportation staff will discuss the status of the Transportation Improvement Program projects. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  10. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
