AGENDA: Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection Fund Management Board

Note: The meeting will be held virtually, with members of the Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection Fund Management Board participating remotely, pursuant to Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021, as amended by Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2023.

AGENDA

  1. Roll Call/Attendance
  2. Review and approval of prior meeting minutes: 6/10/2024 (Management Board)
  3. Election of Officers:The Board will vote to elect a Chair and Vice-Chair for the Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection Fund Management Board for the term July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025. 
  4. Fund Administration Agreement: Board members will review and discuss a draft Fund Administration Agreement between the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust and the Cape Cod and Island Water Protection Fund Management Board to set the terms and conditions of the investment in water quality projects and application of subsidies from the Fund for projects listed on the 2023 Clean Water Intended Use Plan and thereafter. The Board may vote whether to authorize the chair to execute the agreement on behalf of the Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection Fund Management Board.
  5. Pre-Existing Debt: Cape Cod Commission staff and PFM Financial Advisors will review Town of Provincetown pre-existing debt eligible for a subsidy award from the Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection Fund not previously acted on by the Management Board (list of pre-existing debt to be discussed is available at: capecodcommission.org/meetingnotices). The Board may vote on whether to grant a final subsidy award to the Town of Provincetown for this pre-existing debt.  
  6. Water Quality Monitoring: Cape CodCommission staff will share key features of the Cape Cod regional water quality monitoring data portal for coastal water quality data and preview a draft freshwater quality data portal that has been developed for Cape Cod.
  7. Member Reports: Members of the Management Board, including ex-officio members and non-member community representatives from Dukes and Nantucket Counties, will have an opportunity to provide comments and reports on local and regional water resources initiatives.
  8. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.

  10. Future Agenda Topics: Identification of future agenda topics by Management Board members and Cape Cod Commission staff.
