AGENDA: Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection Fund Management Board

Note: The meeting will be held virtually, with members of the Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection Fund Management Board participating remotely, pursuant to Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021, as amended by Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2023.

AGENDA 

  1. Roll Call 
  2. Review and approval of prior meeting minutes: 3/22/2024 (Management Board) 
  3. Subsidy Awards: The Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection Fund Management Board members will discuss a request for subsidy from the Town of Bourne for the Town’s responsibility to the Town of Wareham for work associated with Wareham wastewater treatment infrastructure. The Management Board may vote to make contingent commitments to provide subsidy for the portion of projects listed on the 2023 and 2024 Intended Use Plans for which the Town of Bourne is responsible. 
  4. Water Quality Monitoring Memorandum of Agreement: The Management Boardwillreview and discussamendments totheMemorandum of Agreement between the Management Board and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection regarding funding to support water quality monitoring in the waters surrounding Cape Cod and the Islands. The Management Board may vote to execute the amended agreement and commit funds to water quality monitoring. The draft amended agreement is available atwww.capecodcommission.org/meetingnotices.    
  5. Member Reports: Members of the Management Board, including ex-officio members and non-member community representatives from Dukes and Nantucket Counties, will have an opportunity to provide comments and reports on local and regional water resources initiatives.  
  6. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting. 
  7. Public Comment 
  8. Future Agenda Topics: Identification of future agenda topics by Management Board members and Cape Cod Commission staff.
