Note: The meeting will be held virtually with members of the Barnstable County Economic Development Council participating remotely, pursuant to Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021, as further amended by Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2023.

  1. Roll Call/Attendance 

  2. Review and Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes: 12/11/2024 (BCEDC), 1/10/2025 (Grants Committee)

  3. Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (“RAISE”) Grant Support Letter: Staff will provide an overview of a potential RAISE grant application for the Yarmouth Route 28 Corridor Improvement project that staff have assisted the Town of Yarmouth to prepare. Barnstable County Economic Development Council members will discuss and may vote whether to submit a letter of support for the Town of Yarmouth RAISE grant application. 

  4. Fiscal Year 2025 License Plate Grant Program Proposals: Staff will summarize proposals received for the Fiscal Year 2025 License Plate Grant Program and grant award recommendations made by the Barnstable County Economic Development Council Grants Committee on the following applicants: Amplify POC, Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, Association to Preserve Cape Cod, Cape Cod Children’s Place, Cape Cod Community College, Cape Cod Culinary Incubator, Entrepreneurship for All Cape Cod, Falmouth Bike Lab, Homeless Prevention Council, Housing Assistance Corporation, Love Live Local, Marine Biological Laboratory, Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, OpenCape Corporation, SK8capecod LLC, The Cordial Eye Gallery and Artist Space Inc, Town of Orleans, and Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill.  The applications and supporting materials for this list of applicants are available at: www.capecodcommission.org/fy25-lpg-submissions. Council Members will discuss and may vote to forward recommendations for grant awards to the Barnstable County Commissioners.  

  5. Member Reports: Council members will report on recent economic development activities on Cape Cod, as appropriate. 

  6. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
