- Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee Election of Officers: Committee members will discuss the annual election of officers and may nominate and vote to elect the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair to the Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee for the term July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
- Federal Fiscal Years (October 1– September 30) 2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Development: Staff will review the process for developing the 2027-2031 TIP. Committee members may ask staff questions and vote to make a recommendation to the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) to release the draft 2027-2031 TIP for a 14-day public comment period. The TIP summarizes the regionally significant transportation infrastructure projects receiving federal funding for construction over the next five years.
- Federal Fiscal Year (October 1 – September 30) 2027 Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”) Development: Staffwill describe the process for developing the 2026 UPWP, which summarizes all significant transportation activities planned for the fiscal year on Cape Cod. Committee members may ask questions and vote to make a recommendation to the MPO to release the draft 2027 UPWP for a 14-day public comment period.
- Federal Fiscal Years (October 1– September 30) 2026-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Amendment #2 and 2024 Regional Transportation Plan Amendment #1 (RTP) #1: Staff will present, and the Committee may vote to recommend the Metropolitan Planning Organization endorse an amendment to the 2026-2030 TIP and the 2024 RTP to update project descriptions and funding information for the Cape Cod Bridges Program including information about phasing of the Sagamore Bridge and Bourne Bridge Replacement.
- Cape Cod Bike Rack Program: Staff will provide an overview of the Draft 2026 Bike Rack Program and solicit feedback from committee members on the draft guidelines and process for towns to apply. The Cape Cod Bike Rack Program reimburses towns for the purchase of bicycle racks and associated equipment using Federal Fiscal Year 2026 Transportation Improvement Program funds.
- Safe Streets for All Grant Opportunity: Staff will provide an overview of the Federal Highway Administration Safe Streets for All 2026 Grant Opportunity. Staff will highlight recent grant awards that may be applicable for Cape Cod municipalities.
- Reports: Massachusetts Department of Transportation staff will review the status of Transportation Improvement Program projects that are under construction or planned in the next five years. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
- New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.

Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) project updates may include updates on the following projects: Dennis/Harwich, Route 28 Reconstruction; Provincetown, Shank Painter Road Improvements; Chatham, Route 28 at Main St/Queen Anne Rd/Crowell Rd; Dennis, Route 28 Streetscape; Yarmouth, Corridor Improvements; Bourne, Route 6 Scenic Highway Median Installation; Bourne, Rail Trail – Phase 1; Harwich, Harwich Elementary School Safe Routes to School; Harwich, Bridge Preservations on Route 6; Barnstable, Route 6 Resurfacing and Related Work; Truro/Wellfleet Route 6 Resurfacing; Barnstable, Culvert Replacement Route 6A over Boat Cove Creek; Harwich Old Colony Rail Trail Modernization; Bourne, Route 28 Resurfacing; and Falmouth, Route 28 Resurfacing.
